Times have really changed. Have you noticed? I mean really noticed?
In today’s world I value the environment that I breathe in, not just where I work or where I live or where I play and where I eat. Locked between 4 walls is not a good life. Making the environment in a way that helps you thrive is the key.
I think in the old days how things were so backwards. We spent time building treehouse for kids (well, some of us did). And what we forgot was building treehouses for adults.
Instead we built fake housing that only protected us from the elements, we should be thinking about how best it can serve our lives as a whole. Surround us with trees, gardens, as nature intended for us. That gave us life since way before we even walked this earth.
One of the things I love most about living in Kauai was that I got to sit on the patio and listen to song birds sing, frogs croak, I even miss the dang chickens that used to wake me up at the crack of dawn. One of the roosters even tried to fight me when I tried to shush it away. Yea, it was funny and I’m laughing still while writing this. Plus I got to walk in the warm tropical rain and swim with the turtles. But I digress.
So, how would you like an open space office like this, open space, trees. Have your coffee outside while planning your day. Or have a business meeting, wouldn’t that be more productive and open to new ideas and relationships? How about that commute from your house to your office without sitting in traffic and polluting the air.
Simple, tranquil, productive – high quality of life.
